Annabelle vs. Annabel

Thoughts on spelling? We're thinking Annabelle right now, but that isn't set in stone, as Annabel is the traditional spelling. Thanks!

It's really just a matter of personal preference, since both are correct.

I think Annabelle looks prettier and more complete, but if you're nostalgic for an original spelling or a lover of "Annabel Lee," take that route.

They are both perfectly fine.

I prefer Annabel. Annabelle is just to frilly for me. I like the simplicity of Annabel.

Both are acceptable.  I much prefer Annabelle.

I love Annabel, but really dislike Annabelle.  It really doesn't make sense, but Annabel looks like a beautiful girl's name, and Annabelle looks like a cow's name to me.

I like Annabelle better. For some reason, whenever I aee Annabel, I pronounce it in my head as Hannibal minus the "h".

I am a big fan of Poe so my vote goes to Annabel.

Annabelle is just to long and seems to frilly for my taste. Neither spelling is terrible.

This. Plus, I can't stand the name Belle and getting rid of the -belle ending makes me like the name more (yes, I know it still sounds the name but how a name looks usually has more of an impact on me).
