I just got an email from my mom about my dad, he is really sick and went in for some tests and they said his blood sugar was 600 - is that even possible, or was she misunderstanding something?  I have never cried at work but I'm having trouble holding them back now and I have to be here 4 more hours.

I'm sorry.  Diabetes is a manageable condition, at least.  I hope that's all it is.  My FIL has diabetes and is still very healthy!

yes it is very possible. my mom's has been close to a 1,000 before.  My thoughts are with you. They should be able to regulate it, get him hydrated and treat his diabetes.  good luck to your dad.
