lunch on the go

During Q's lunch time we are going to be in a meeting. I can't easily strap him in and spoon feed him. I was going to bring some puffs to hold him over but by the time we are home, it will be nap time.

Any suggestions for good lunches to bring with us that he can feed himself? i run into this problem alot when we run afternoon errands.

Re: lunch on the go

  • cheese quesadilla is a good choice. I microwave it, 1: because I'm lazy, and 2: because its not as hard/crusty and I think it will go down easier.

    shredded cheese is good too.

  • We usually do an applesauce pouch (she can suck it out herself, like drinking from a straw), graham crackers, and string cheese. Sometimes I cut up the cheese, sometimes I just pull it apart and let her go at it. I've also toasted waffles before leaving the house and they keep okay.

  • I like the apple banana pouches and I give it to him, or else it would be all over and I would have to spend more time cleaning him up. He eats it so quick so it isn't a time issue.
