I am currently dealing with some bleeding issues. I go back tonight for more tests so I will update you on how things went for me. Wish I had something more encouraging to say.
I had A LOT of bleeding and spotting all through my 1st tri with my son. I had a low lying placenta which they think caused it. It didn't cause any problems and I had a healthy pregnancy.
I had a period-like bleed at 8 weeks that I thought was decidual bleeding. Everything was okay though. My doctor said she instead thought I popped a blood vessel. Still a mystery but the ultrasound looked great and bleedingstopped after 5 minutes so my fears were calmed.
Also had a bleed for about 2 minutes (steady drip) of red blood during week 7. It was right after an internal ultrasound, however, and doc said that the wand caused the bleed.
I would be more concerned if i was spotting everyday. That happened in my last pregnancy that ended in m/c. This time these were isolated bleeds that stopped within 5 minutes. Still scary though because it's red blood and it's more than spotting.
If you aren't spotting every day and you have had small isolated bleeds I wouldn't worry as much. I would definitely call the doctor and see what she suggests however.
7th Pregnancy, no living kids, with a You-Name-It Loss History. Curious? Inquire Within. Due 8/13/16 and couldn't be more excited for our little girl!
After my first pelvic exam we had intercourse. It caused some discharge with a pinkish tint then brownish discharge for a week. After I demanded an ultrasound to be sure everything was fine. My dr said the cervix has a lot of blood flow during pregnancy and the exam with sex probably caused some irritation. After 2 wks of pelvic rest everything has been ok. Sex hasn't caused any problems since. Apparently 1st tri spotting is normal. If you're not soaking a pad within and hour or having severe cramping it's ok.

Hope it's no cause for worry for you!
