Hey guys...I posted about a month ago..
My little girl Zoey is finally home after 5 1/2 months in the NICU. She was born with an Esophageal Atresia.
The girls are now 6 months old today and I can not believe it!!
Just curious...have any other moms had really preemie babies that needed ECI? My little girls weren't that premature, but because of Zoey's really long NICU stay we are having ECI come out to work with her...any positive or negative feedback on this??
I made a slideshow for their first 6 months. ejoy!

Re: Update on Twins...5 1/2 month NICU stay.
Our boys were full-term but one of them needed Early Intervention (guessing that's the same as ECI) starting at 2.5 for several delays. Good experience overall; it's helped him a lot!
My boys were born at 29w4d and spent two months in the NICU. They have been receiving PT through ECI since they came home and will be having an OT evaluation soon. I love ECI!

You are such a strong MoM!! I can't imagine how hard it was for you to have them apart for so long. Congratulations on finally having your precious babies together!! Great slide show too. Beautiful girls & many more firsts to come having them both home with you. Enjoy, they grow up too fast.
Omgosh you poor thing. Do you feel like you just ran a marathon? Hugs! My son was in the hospital for 4 months and started early intervention about a month after coming home. He just turned 2 and the therapist said he's almost totally caught up to other kids his age. They are just working on the little nuances that most people wouldn't even notice.
Don't worry- with ECI, your daughter will catch up!
