?'s to ask when switching to midwife.

We have an orientation/familiarization tour at the Nurse Midwife Center tonight and I keep wondering what I should ask. I've been going to an OB/GYN office for my whole pregnancy so far. Please tell me what you would ask either at the tour or the first appointment (if we choose to switch)

    They will probably answer most of these on the tour but here are some I'd ask...

    How many midwives are in the practice?

    Do they have privileges at a nearby hospital in case a transfer is necessary?

    What medical equipment is available at the center?

    How many people are allowed to attend the birth?

    How long will you and baby be able to stay at the center after delivery?

    How late into pregnancy can you go and still deliver at the center? 41 weeks? 42 weeks?

    Does a nurse or midwife do a home visit after the birth?

    Are there birthing tubs and showers available?
