From disposables to cloth.....

...I never realized how much my kid pees!!! My cousin gave me about 20 CD to try out. I am starting with CD at home and seeing if I like it and then go from there. In the almost 12 hours she has been awake today, we have gone through 7 diapers. If this was disposables.....she would probably be on diaper #4 by this time.

Is it normal to go through this many diapers in a 12hr span?

That's quite a few diapers, but not unheard of. I try to change DS every 2-3 hours during the day, so in a 12 hr period that's anywhere from 4-6 diapers.

That's pretty normal for us. I change his diaper after each nap, even if it was a short nap. So sometimes I change a not-so-wet diaper. Like the PP, though, I generally change every 2 hours-ish (other than in the short nap scenario) so going through 6+ diapers in a 12 hour period is not at all unusual.

I change every two hours then also when she poops so I go through around 8-9 diapers a day.  Keeps the rashes away, and after a few days of it it becomes second nature.  You could stuff with hemp and go longer I suppose, buy I woudln't want to sit in a urine soaked diaper, why would she KWIM?

Depends on the day, we might use 5 all day, plus one for overnight, or a many as 8. This number will likely change as baby grows.

Sounds normal for us. DD hates having a wet diaper, so we change her a lot. She just sized up into Mediums,and we got 26 cloths and still do a load of laundry once a day. At least you know she's hydrated! (and no more rashes like she got from 'sposies!)
