1st Trimester

What's your workout routine?

What are you doing for workout these days?

I have stopped working out in the last week, and have been just walking the dog. But I feel like I need to get back there and continue on with my spinning classes. Hopefully that would lift my mood a little bit.

Re: What's your workout routine?

  • I had been solely walking and lifting a few arm weights until this weekend.  Per another bumpie's advice I got "expecting more" by sara haley and have been very impressed.  It's a set of several workouts complete with a calendar for each trimester...so you aren't doing the same thing everyday.  I felt challenged but not totally overexerted and loved getting to use weights to tone up my arms and legs.  I feel like this mixed in with the walking will give me better results and help keep me toned.

    Everyone Welcome.

  • I run, do bootcamp, zumba, spin, and body pump through out the week. I think it helps with my fatigue.  I stopped running when I was 5 months pg with my first but I am hoping this time around I won't have to stop.

  • If u were active before, and you're feeling good, get back into your spinning! I also loovvee my prenatal yoga DVDs they're altered for each trimester!
  • I do a half hour of weights, combo of machines and free weights, for all different muscle groups, and then 30 minutes of elliptical, keeping my heart rate between 130-140. I feel tired, but feel tired all day anyway right now, but my nausea and dizziness is gone while I'm working out so I try and force myself to go everyday.

  • I'm running and biking with light weight lifting. Same as I did before pregnancy, but not as intense :)

I'm starting to feel a lot better in week 10 - I'm hoping the 2nd trimester energy comes early! Being motivated to workout was tough in weeks 6-9... but things are getting better!

  • I just do elliptical but am thinking of getting a prenatal workout dvd
  • Insanity, asylum, running, and weights. I have been training this hard for over a year and was so scared my OB would put the kibosh on my time with shaun T...so glad I got the ok. She said if I was already conditioned, i'd be good. The m/s hasnt hit yet so I am plugging away until it does and hope I can keep up with my normal routine. I do wear a HR monitor and have an alarm sound when my HR goes above 160/85 max HR. I have trained and have 2 tough mudders under my belt and am trying keep relatively fit so I can be ready for my third post baby! Have a feeling i'll be transitioning to something else when my belly is too big to do ski abs :

  • TXBRIDE!! hi!!!  I've been doing less since finding out, due to being tired after working, but now that I don't work any more I am definitely going to be getting back into working out.  I'm going to be continuing my pilates and doing some cardio too.

  • Running and boot camp. Although I've replaced running with walking as my breast have gotten increasing sore where even the slightest movement causes pain.
