Dana_loves_J mentioned in the post below that the 2 piece sets cause her LO's diaper to leak from the top. Does anyone else have this problem with CDs and 2-piece PJs?
I've been having this issue a lot lately- to the point that I was adding lots of extra inserts to our nighttime diapers. We've been using 2-piece sets (sometimes just regular cotton pants or leggings, not necessarily ones sold as PJs) for bed. We have lots of one-piece ones but I haven't been using them b/c I thought if her diaper does leak, it'll be quicker and easier to change just pants and not make her temporarily naked.
Is it the waistband compressing the top of the diaper area that's causing the leaking? We're using the 1 piece PJs this week to see if it helps.

But, It sounds like it's leaking because the elastic of the pants are likely tucking into the diaper and causing wicking.

Yea, that's probably it.

We've been using 2 piece pjs this summer and haven't had a problem. The only place her overnight diaper leaks is around the legs, but I seem to have solved that by using my new diapers instead of the ones I bought used (the leg elastic is a bit worn out in the used ones.)
I agree that maybe the top of the pants is getting tucked into the diaper and wicking.
We have this issue almost every night. Luckily, I bought like 6 pairs of pajamas and we do laundry often.
Thanks!
We haven't had that problem, but I could see how it could happen. We use fitteds with a wool soaker, which might make a difference since the waist on the soaker goes up pretty high. I'm planning on switching him to a long-sleeve PJ top and longies once it gets cold enough (and once I get to making the longies with the wool interlock I bought).
