Today, whilst playing my favourite game with DH (What Would We Name Our Hypothetical Daughter), I threw out the name Keely. He surprised me by deciding he kinda liked it.
It's not the kind of name I usually go for, but I don't dislike it. I guess I'm trying to figure out how I feel about it. Behindthename.com says it's Anglicised from an Irish surname, which is a sketchier history than I usually go for, but I do like the sound of it. What does everyone think of Keely/Keeley for a girl?
Re: Keely
One of my relatives used this for his daughter. She was such a sweet, bright, smiley little thing (I haven't seen her in years), so the name always makes me smile.
It's NMS personally, but I don't hate it on someone else's kid.

This. I do know someone who is 30ish with this name and it suits her well.
I think it's an adorable name, but I just can't see it on an adult.
But if you love the name, use it!
Nope. Reminds me too much of Kelly, and I want to correct it.
