so... I'm having a hard time finding a good laundry detergent. I refuse to use Proctor&Gamble products (tide, downy, gain...), and most of the free and clear like brands I run across are made by them.
I've tried seventh generation, and planet but they don't clean as well as I'd like. I LOVE method and mrs meyer's, but they are perfumed, so I'm little leery for newborn clothing.
What does everybody love? What about Costco's green detergent, is it really green? Biokleen?
Re: laundry detergent for baby
Hmmm, so, if I don't have a HE washer, it's not bad right? It's just more concentrate? (seriously, I think mine is older than me!)
No way! I never saw... off to try! Thanks Lindsy!
Good question! I'm going to look online and see if I can find the answer. But I swear by that Persil brand detergent. Tide couldn't get my clothes even half as clean.
I found the answer! YES you can use HE detergent in a regular washer. It just creates less suds. Wooohoo
Here's the quick link to the detergent. (Free Shipping)

I do have to warn you... it contains no dyes but it does contain "perfumes". However, I only smell that smell in the laundry room and not in the clothes after it comes out the wash/dryer. It has been proven safe for people with allergies to perfumes.
I just did more searching and Persil make a product called "Non-Bio". It is both dye and fragrence free. I'm not sure where to buy it. An online search might dig up a retailer in the U.S.
