Moms of 4 year old Boys

Does your 4 year old boy draw figures? DS likes to color and draw, but when he draws or paints, he just scribbles. He has drawn people before (head, face, stick body), but only under direction and wont do it on his own. He also talks about the other things he draws, houses, etc, but they're only ever scribbles. 

I know things like this can vary greatly at this age, and that boys can tend to be a little slower in this department, but I'm wondering if my DS is alone in this.

1.  He's not interested in drawing or colouring so we do very little of it.

2.  He has not determined his hand dominance yet (only kid in his class to still go back and forth)

3.  He will draw figures but man, they are SAD!  lol

Not really.  He is like your DS.  He'll do it if asked to, but otherwise just scribbles and then labels the scribbles.

Mine does, but it's a pretty recent development. I want to say that he drew his first person just before he turned 4, maybe? He just came home from school drawing people one day. We're also not 100% on his handedness, yet.
