    The second she was born. I swear! I had a c-section, and when they handed her to DH her eyes were closed. When I said "Hi baby!" She opened her eyes and looked right at me. It was almost CREEPY it was so AMAZING!

    DS has responded to my voice since the first week he was born.  He calms at the sound of my voice.

    in the hospital the 2nd day they were bringing him back from the nursery and he was screaming. the second i picked him up and started talking to him he stopped crying. it was like i was magical! too bad i can't always stop the crying!

    I also think right away.  She has always calmed down/responded to my voice right away without me nursing her.

    DD also calmed down as soon as I kissed her and talked to her when she was born.  However, I don't think she thinks of me as "mom" yet.
