When to Pack and Sooo Tired

Hello all,

As you can see I am at 31 weeks and just the weekend I am so tired, I made breakfast for my family and had to lay down.. Is this normal? Also I am trying to decide when to pack my bag and a bag for the babies? Thanks Ladies you always have the best advice! Start my NST's and weekly appointments at 32 weeks on 9/10/12...

Take care,

Tanya

Re: When to Pack and Sooo Tired

  • I was put on rest at 30 weeks and at that point I was glad- I couldn't do much! I would pack soon the babies bag at least- I gave birth at 36 weeks to big babies! Good luck!! Enjoy the rest now- its tough! Mine are 6 weeks old.
  • I am a bit ahead of you and I am exhausted! I feel like everything take soo much effort. I did pack my bag a week ago. I figured that it is best to be prepared. We are almost there!!!

  • I'm kind of planning to have a bag ready to go by 30 weeks, myself, just so that it's there and ready to go. It's not like my clothes are going to "go bad" in a bag. I will pop a few travel toiletries in there, a handful of sleepers/hats, and be ready to go. Then I just have to worry about grabbing the bag and my phone no matter how early I end up having to go in.

  • Most books and my OB recommend being ready to run out the door to the hospital by 30 weeks.

I think the fatigue is totally normal. I've been on bed rest for 12 weeks, so I know the laying around creates extra sleepiness, but the few times I do something, I have about 45-60 minutes before I feel utterly exhausted.

This is my siggy. Love it.

  • I packed the babies bag last week and am slowly working on packing my bag, hoping to have it done this week.

As for the exhaustion I am right with you, I will be 31 weeks Wed and some days can barely function while other days I have tons of energy.  My feet have started to swell so I have been forced to slow down even when I am feeling good.

  • Pack now! I'm right there with ya. I believe I have officially hit "the wall". I think you're totally normal. It sounds just like me.

  • I was on bed rest for 10 weeks. I could not have functioned like a normal person by the last 5 of those weeks.  I packed my bags when I got put on bed rest at 27 weeks. At that point I also started packing all my hospital stuff in the car every time  had a doctor appointment, just in case I had to be admitted (we live an hour from the hospital).
