Very easy recipe and very tasty results!
Melt 1 stick of butter in an 8x8 pan.
Mix together 3/4 c sugar, 1 Tbsp cocoa, 1 c self-rising flour, 1/2 c milk, and 1 tsp vanilla. Pour into melted butter - do not stir!
Mix 1 c sugar and 1/4 c cocoa in a separate bowl. Sprinkle over mixture. Pour 1 1/2 c boiling water over all - do not stir!
Bake at 350 for 30-45 minutes (will be ready when the top is cake-like and isn't jiggly when you move the pan slightly).
Can double the recipe for use in a 9x13 pan. Serve with cool whip, ice cream, or plain.
