R usually loves pureed carrots, butternut squash, apple sauce... if it's in a spoon, he'll eat it. However, since he got sick this past week or so, he's been on strike. I thought maybe it was because of the strep throat and swollen tonsils, but he'll eat graham crackers, puffs, and cheerios. I haven't tried his normal favorite of French Toast, but I did try giving him some bbq brisket and potato wedge when we were out yesterday. He wouldn't touch the potato wedge, but he did chew on the meat a bit only to spit it out. I'm at a loss of what to feed him since he won't eat purees. I thought about boiling a couple baby carrots to cut up into pieces and see if he'll eat it. I'm sure his stomach has been hurting, as he's on antibiotics that he will finish tomorrow, but at this age is it okay for them to not really eat much solid food for several days in a row? He's still nursing well and has plenty wet diapers, so he's not getting dehydrated.
So there's this boy. He kinda stole my heart. He calls me "Mom"

Ditto the finger foods. All my kids started eating a lot less around the first birthday mark so I wouldn't worry about it if his output is still good.
Hope he feels better. Sick babies are the worst;(
"What did my fingers do before they held you? What did my heart do with it's love?"
Ditto PP's. Try offering more actual solids. He may be done with purees.
DS stopped eating purees a LONG time ago.
It is very normal for them to eat less when sick ... I have always found Kai's appetite declines while on antibiotics.
That said, I am with everyone else on trying table food. He might be ready to move away from the purees.
Exactly this. I also notice that seasoning helps. I made evan eggs with rosemary yesterday and he loved them.
