I can't find your runny nose post. Lucas had a cold and finally got over it. He had his DC trial Thursday. He now has a runny nose again. I guess I have to just get used to it!
I know, but it really will be ok. I miss Little A during the day, but I have a lot of pictures around and videos on my phone I can watch when I really start to miss him. You will get into a routine and it will get better, it's just a big adjustment for everyone. Picking him up will be the best part of your day. And soon, he'll be really happy to see his teachers. Little A reaches for them when he gets there and smiles, so I know he has a good time. It will all work out. But have a good cry before then if you need to- that helps too.
Thanks. I def have plenty of photos and videos! DH gets to pick him up since he can get him by 3 and I wouldn't get there till 4. I know it will all be ok. I'd just rather stay home!!
Same here! Finley had two days of daycare this past week because we had staff professional days. I noticed the first day that a few babies had seriously runny noses, like nothing I'd ever seen before. Sure enough, I've got a sick baby this weekend. She just spiked a 102.6 temp even! Our kids come back on Tuesday for the first day, and I'm nervous that I'm going to have to take a sick day on the first day of school. That's kind of hard to do when you are responsible for all the crying little ones who have trouble adjusting!
We're sticking to the nose frida, steam showers, vapo rub on her chest, and lots of snuggles. Good luck to you (on the nose and the start of the school year)!

I was a huge fan of the nose frida. Them my pedi told me not to use it. I want to ignore her but now I'm scared. My first pedi said limit to twice a day. This pedi said skip it as it aids to swelling the membranes in the nose and then a cycle of stuffiness..... Sort of like the afrin effect. I want to just suck his boogers for him but she said spray the saline and let it come out in its own. It is so annoying how everyone's opinions are so different!

Oh wow...I haven't heard that! Maybe that explains why so many babies HATE it? I only use it before she naps or goes to bed at night, because I figure it will clear her out to fall asleep.
Maybe I'll try putting a rolled towel/blanket under her mattress and just spray saline. Now I feel terrible!
Honesty I think using its fine. I just figured I'd try to just use saline Begore every feed and nap since the nosefrida didn't help him much. Then I started to worry it was getting super stuffed. People swear by it!!
Re: ILML
Yeah, unfortunately it's something we battle all the time. As long as he's not congested, I don't really worry about it.
When do you start work?
Ughhhhh Tuesday. Kids start Wednesday. I'm not ready AT all.
