    At 12 months DS moved to his new class at daycare and they use nap mats.

    DD is 13 months and she uses one at daycare without any problems. I'm not sure what issues there would be. The naps or 1 or 2 inches thick, so if they roll of they won't get hurt or anything.

    My daughter uses one if she stays for nap at daycare.  After 12 months they start using them.
