Mine dont break apart on me, but I have managed to fix the problem of all the little balls being left behind. At first I used a Q-tip and just scooped them out and put them in LOs mouth. Now I just dissolve it on a baby spoon and let him drink the water, then feed him the left overs.
My pedi had us break the tab in helf and let the tab disolve on his tongue. We did that oncr and LO swallowed the tab. He didnt choke but it freaked DH and I out so from then on we crumbled the tab into his mouth and he took it well that way. Although it turned out the Prevacid stopped helping so we had to switch to Omeprozale liquid and he now does great and its wayyyy cheaper!
My ds had to take this 3x a day. I used a pill cutter and never had any issues with the pill crumbling. I dissolved in water and then as ds got older would put it in his food.
