Is it ok to tell my parents before hearing hb?

Its driving me crazy! I would really like to tell my parents and siblings, but I dont have my first appointment until next week. Im already 7 weeks (I think), and i dont want to tell people, then get there and find out there is no heart beat, even though everything seems fine.

What do you guys think I should do?

I have always told my immediate family and closest friends before my first appointment.  I have always figured that if something went wrong I was going to tell them and need their support so I might as well have their excitement in the meantime.

When something did go wrong, it was best for me to have them know, because I never had to pretend that everything was okay when it wasn't, and could just be open about it instead and be myself.

Only tell those you would want to tell if there was no heart beat, a miscarriage, etc. Don't live in fear. Enjoy pregnancy. Just be a little cautious.
