It's terrible, no matter what gender it's for. I immediately think of immaculate conception.
And I have to agree with others, I would immediate think of a girl.
I have seen Immaculada used.... she was a very old woman who immigrated from Mexico. Again, very Catholic. Very old school. And tends to be female.
