I found good information from the CDC website. Also, try calling your pediatrician to see if they have at info. Mine has a big binder with detailed information about each vaccine, including normal and abnormal side effects, the exact illnesses that the vaccine protects agains, effectiveness stats, and ingredients.

I think Aviva Jill Romm does a great job presenting the science and not trying to sway people one way or the other.  It's been several years since I read the book, but I think she also gives an alternative schedule too.
