You've gotten good recs for west coast U.S. clinics. But, I know there are clinics in Toronto that do DE. I think there's even one affiliated with RBA - just in case there's reason to stay in-country. Good luck with your next cycle!

I am in Chicago, and have been to many of the clinics here.  We consulted with Advanced Fertility, they had the highest DE success in the country in 2011.  However, they are a smaller clinic (one main location and one satellite office) and their success might be higher, but it also might be lower if they had more DE cases annually.  We did not go with them ultimately because of insurance issues.  We also had trouble with the billing department when we asked the records of our testing be sent to our current clinic.  Instead of charging us $20, our debit card was charged more than double.....really concerned about spending the kind of money that DE requires, and having billing issues.  I liked that they have their donors come in daily and administer all the medications in office.  This can be good with an 18 or 19 yo donor who may not be as reliable as you hope, but it may make some donors from agencies unwilling to cycle with you there (they are required to go to clinic daily when cycling).  Lastly, if you choose one of their donor the pricing is clear-one cycle = $25K.  We discussed bringing in and agency donor.  Even though they advertise one cycle of IVF to be $9995, a donor cycle will cost $17K + what you pay to agency for donor and donor compensation (coming in closer to $30K total)  This felt like price gauging to us.  We were willing to pay 12K-15K for IVF cycle, but not more.  This is a small clinic, we liked that feature.

FCI, now offers banked eggs through RBA.  They have a downtown location that is reachable from the airport without a car rental.  My husband is blind and we had no trouble accessing the downtown location using public transit.  FCI's pool of fresh donors is very small, compared with the # of cycles they do each year.  Many people who use them end up using an outside agency.  Our insurance overs one more IVF at this clinic, so this is where we ended up going back to.  This is a large clinic, with 20+ retrievals/transfers scheduled daily.

I also recommend checking out the DE check in on the IF board on Tuesdays.  I have learned of many options that I didn't know existed from there.  There's a huge learning curve between understanding DE IVF  and regular IVF, as there are many different options out there-all at different price points.  GL with your decisions.

Our clinci will do DE in country too.   But you have to find a donor yourself who will do it without compensation.  (i.e.  usually a relative)  My sisters are older than me, as are my cousins>  My nieces are too young< and I would never be able to bring myself  to ask them anyway.

It's canadian law you can"t pay for human parts or tissue.  you can ship it in though or go out to pick it up.

Thanks everyone for all the information.  Looking forward to hearing from Petr about her clinic but she is a little busy now. So excitting.

DH and I have a lot to discuss.

I"ll check out the Tuesday DE check in.

I thought the hard part would just be making the decision to use DE.  Beginning to uderstand there are a lot of difficult decisions coming my way.

so right now.... i'm going backto bed. lol

Not sure how they get around it, but RBA has two affiliate clinics in Canada - one in BC and one in ON. Affiliates have access to RBA's frozen egg bank and are trained in thawing vitrified eggs, and at least for U.S. affiliates, the pricing is all the same as going to RBA in Atlanta. May be worth investigating.
