I'm doing a gender neutral nursery and will be incorporating airplanes since DH is a pilot. It's been difficult to find wall art to match the bright colors in the nursery that are not too feminine or masculine. So I decided to make my own.

I bought a blank canvas from JoAnn Fabric (50% off!), placed vinyl stickers to spell out the quote I wanted, painted over it and peeled the stickers off. Super easy!

love it!! And I love the orange

I tried doing something similar for my friend when she had a baby but the lines were all blurry when I peeled the stickers off
( Do you have any expert advice? Yours looks amazing!
Thank ya ma'am! I originally planned on using a 2" wide paint brush but then realized it could move the letters so then I used a small paint brush when I painted over the letters. That helped a lot because I could control the strokes more and be more careful. Some of the paint still bleed through the edges of the letters so I just used a smaller brush and white paint to touch up. The stickers and paint created a little border / outline so it was easy to keep the white paint in the lines. Good luck!
I was SUPER lucky... after searching JoAnn Fabrics for 30 minutes with no luck (even asked the staff and they had no clue) I found one package of them remaining in that aisle full of useless cheap things where the check-out lines are. When I get home tonight I will try to find the brand name.
Love it!
I may have to steal this idea. My DH is a pilot and we're trying to find ways to incorportate planes into a Team Green room!
