Anyone else dialated a bit?

I'm trying to determine if being .5 cm is worth getting excited for. I don't know that I have had any contractions yet, but I have felt SUPER uncomfortable for the past two days.

I swear I check my panties like every 15 minutes to see if my plug has gone... Come on Labor Day weekend, please be a real Labor day.

I was 2cm dilated for over 2 weeks, then on Wednesday when I saw my new doctor I was 3cm dilated but she said my cervix was still a little thick. So I guess you can be dilated for a little while without anything happening. You are farther along then I am so you may have a better shot of something happening. Good Luck

I hate to burst your bubble, but no, it's not. It's kind of nice way of saying no progress at all Stick out tongue

But don't worry, it doesn't really matter much anyway. Plenty of people go from nothing to full blown labor in no time at all!

I had my cerclage removed on Tuesday, I was an instant 2cm, 50% effaced and my cervix was very soft. I think that I was the only one who was excited! It made me sad.

I am 37 weeks had my appointment yesterday dilated 3cm. Not sure how much longer I feel I have been dilated for a week at least but we will see how long it takes I think it varies for everyone and this is my first baby so that too. My doctor told me she won't let me go past 39 b/c she doesn't want my 22 inch baby to weigh to much lol just so anxious to meet her

I was "almost" a 1 with baby's head still high on Wednesday's appt. But with DS, I was 1cm and the next night my water broke on its own, so you never know.

I had my first check today. I told myself I wouldn't have them done since it really doesn't tell you anything but I wanted to see where I was "starting" from. I was literally a fingertip if I'm lucky the OB said. He could barely feel! Ugh! It was so painful!!! I almost broke DH's index finger, I swear! I won't be having them done again until it's time and they need to check me at the hospital. Now I feel crappy and crampy!

I have been 1 cm the past 2 weeks. I just look as it as 1 down 9 more to go. I know it doesn't mean anything.

At my 37 week appt on Monday I was dilated to a 3 and 60% effaced. I like that I've made progress, but I know that it means nothing as to when I'll go into labor.

I was 3cm 80% effaced for 3 weeks with my 2nd son...last week with this one I was a fingertip dialated and I am now 38 weeks and at 2cm and 50% effaced...so I know from my last pregnancy to not get my hopes up! lol I had my membranes stripped at 40w 2 days last time and went into labor that night...so they are going to strip them next fri for me at 39 weeks...I'm beyond ready!
