For the carseat, BRU and walmart will have affordable carseat options. Baby boutiques will have other options but they are usually more expensive. A lot of times you will find the names of the carseats here in canada are the same as in the US, they have just met a different set of crash testing standards (from what the government claims anyways!)
Couponing is getting to be a bigger thing in Canada! There are many groups on facebook and websites dealing with couponing and giving tips for how to save money. They also do the weekly flyer matchups! Is there London Drugs in Ontario, I can't remember. They allow coupon stacking so most Canadian couponers will choose to shop there to get the best deals. Well.ca is getting to be a big website that people order online from. They carry a variety of products and their selection is constantly growing. There are great deals to be found on there. I ordered diapers there and they were delivered right to my door. Snugglebugz.ca is a great site to order baby gear from. Depending on the types of things you are looking for there are a tonne of websites to order from, canadian based on US based! Some products from amazon.com will still ship to Canada. Just bear in mind that duty and taxes will be added.
