I wanted to donate the cord blood but our hospital does not do it and when I tried to arrange it myself the public bank said they can only accept so much per month and they were all full for September :-( So by default I would do delayed cord clamping, even though I would prefer donation personally.
If my hospital were set up for it I would donate it all. Apparently every little bit of it makes a difference, and if there isn't enough it isn't usable for actual treatment. My dad is fighting leukemia now, and we were going to bank LO's blood for him, but the Drs said for his particular case it wasnt what he needed. So, if it were me, I wouldn't delay clamping at all, and donate all of it knowing it could save someone's life.
I inquired about the donation and apparently you have to "qualify" to donate. There is paperwork involved and time to get approved before they will accept your donation. Also my doc said that the bank is in FL and is full or something now and that I should have asked months ago to do this. If there is anything weird in your history they won't accept you I guess...just what I heard though I think it's a great idea to donate.

I did do it months ago and was told then that it was full :-( So you just asking about it recently probably did not make a difference. I just dont think they are set up for a lot of donations yet, hopefully that changes over time because I think it is great to donate!
I plan to delay cord clamping as long as my doctor will allow (donation is not an option where I am). If it were though I would probably leave it up to my doctor to decide what is best when I deliver. I know with my first the cord was around his neck and the doctor cut the cord asap. There are factors that you can't plan for before delivery.
