Let's talk prefolds..

Ok, so i'm in the beginning stages of trying to get together a stash to CD.  I didn't with DS, but considered it heavily.  This time around i'm going to take the plunge. 

1st question..  Pregold + cover is what i'm seeing that's recommended for a NB.  Why not a prefold with snappi?  If you do a prefold and cover, do you just fold the prefold in the cover?  I'm confused over this process.  Does it have enough protection, it seems like it would leak that way.

For when baby gets older, i am buying a used lot of diapers.  I have BG's right now (that's what a lot of ppl recommend), but i'm going to get a few more types as well.

 Any advice you could give would be wonderful!

I prefer to snappi prefolds.  I have better luck rotating covers that way.

I have a couple of covers that don't have room to snappi, so I trifold in them.  I expect to get poo on those cover and they be one use.

Ditto.  Everyone told me to tri fold and lay it in the cover.  We went through so many covers becuase the diaper would slide and bunch up.  I got a bunch of snappis and wish I had done it sooner.
