Why is it that when a man is sick you will never have anything worse than he has and the whole world must stop? Please ladies shed some light on this subject for me.

Well, biologically speaking, the male immune system triggers a condition called "pussyitis."  Symptoms include whining and one-uping.  As far as treatment, I suggest you humor him as needed.  Once you see improvement you should follow up with frequent eye rolls.

Ha Ha! My DS and I have pretty severe colds right now and my SO has been all complainy tonight about how, "He's not sick, but he just doesn't quite feel right." I'm sitting here coughing and barely able to breath, but I'm asking him if he's alright.
