First CD Wash

We are new to CD (well new to babies in general! Smile) and we have started our building our stash. I have not washed the diapers yet and plan to start in the next month or so. We mainly have new diapers and a few used. For the new diapers (Bumgenius 4.0 and Best Bottoms), it was recommended to wash 5-6 times. My questions is, do you use the detergent for each wash? Or just for one or two and then use hot water for the rest?

    You're BG's just need one wash and their ready to go.  I'm not sure about the Best Bottoms.  Check their web page.

    Best Bottoms you only need to wash once too.

    Yep, only one wash for those diapers. If you get any that are made with organic materials, those ones you will want to wash 5 times with detergent to remove the oils in the natural fibers.
