I had my membranes stripped at 40 weeks, 40.5 weeks. and 41 weeks. I firmly believe my MW accidentally punctured my bag while stripping at 41 weeks. About 2 hours after my appointment my water broke. Contractions never started and I believe it was because my body was not ready to proceed with labor. I will never allow my MW to strip my membranes in the future. When baby is ready, labor will start. End of story.
