I got a call from the Director of Schools in the county that DH and I live in earlier. He said that he'd like to meet with me to discuss me filling in for an English teacher during her maternity leave if I'd be interested in it. We're meeting tomorrow. In this rural, political county, it's largely who you know, not what you know, and the only way to get a full-time position, if one should come available, is to either sub regularly (not a possibility with LO and no reliable child-care, aside from daycare which I wouldn't be able to do without knowing what days I'd be subbing) or to fill in for leave positions such as this. It starts around October 15th and goes through the end of the semester, so it'd definitely be a good way to get my foot in the door. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I can get it, and if I do, I'm hoping I can find someone to watch R for the duration of it. I definitely enjoy staying home with R, but I've so missed being in the classroom!!
So there's this boy. He kinda stole my heart. He calls me "Mom"

I'm feeling much better, thanks! I ended up having mastitis and the doc put me on an antibiotic that I had to take 4 times a day. Nursing R on that side first before going to the other side everytime he nursed seem to help more than anything.
