Re: Marginal Cord Insertion (battledore placenta)

  • Just found out I have this as well. Been searching for days for answers and not getting much help...grrr
  • Sadly I have spent too much time on the internet and have "learned" that this may cause low fluid and pre term labor. Also a c sec should be had as the cord is fragile and cam detach from the placenta.

Of course my docs are not concerned other than his growth and I am being monitored. However I don't have the best experiences with docs so I am Leary.

The problem with the internet is all you get is other people?s experiences or opinions so who really knows. I have also heard this means noting. In fact the medical term is ?This is usually an incidental finding after birth and has no clinical significance? Sigh, who knows.
