if you are still looking for advice, i have posted before about this Bedtime Pass idea. we made one with DD (3.5 yrs) and she decorated it on special paper with glitter etc, and it is very special to her. we had a lot of success with this approach. my DD is still not a perfect sleeper (she has many fears that get out of control, so in those cases the Bedtime Pass is not the issue, but that's a whole different story.) good luck!!! i know how exhausting it is!!
