I am at Fort Irwin. We've been here for a little over a month. It's really not so bad though the closest Target is a little over an hour away. The PX really doesn't have a great selection but the Commissary is well stocked. If you can try to hand carry your OB records. It will probably take a few weeks to get an OB appointment so try to see your OB right before you move. If you have any questions please feel free to msg me.
