Hurricane and No Where To Go. ='[

We live in a place that flooded 8 feet when Hurricane Katrina hit, and my family still live there. I left for the Army right after Katrina, just got out of the army in June, and gave birth.

Little one is 9 days old and now a hurricane is hitting us Wednesday! There isn't a single hotel available in a trillion mile radius... and I don't know what to do.

I'm alone with a newborn and a toddler. AHHH!

What would you do?

If you can't go anywhere, then just stock up on non-perishables and board up your windows.  Stay safe!!

This. Get to the store ASAP and buy candles too. Do you have any friends in town you coud stay with? Or call the local red cross office and ask about a shelter?

I am also here in New Orleans and I am scheduled to have my section Thursday My husband and I are trying not to panic, I just hope  I do not go into labor naturally. We are staying and just praying for the best... Good luck to you!

Oh My goodness apringle! Praying for you guys. I thought my situation was rough! I super hope you guys stay safe and the hurricane steers clear!

I have family in Dallas that told me to go there... I just don't know how I would manage driving 8 hours alone with a toddler and newborn who feeds every 2 hours. But if worse comes to worse... I'll have to make do.

The rest of my family (mom and grandmother + 4 dogs) their plan is to hop in the car and just drive if it gets bad... pretty dumb idea to me!  They said they may go to my dads an hour away, but any gust of wind will blow his house down!
