I went for my first sonogram on Thursday, according to my last period I should have been 8w 3d. The technician saw the fetal pole but it measured 6w 6d. Almost a 2 week difference. She claimed she could hear the heartbeat but all I could hear was mine. When I said this to her she said well I heard it so your good. All she did was rush me through the whole thing. Is it normal to be almost 2 weeks different than what you originally thought? I don't get to see my dr until Sept 4 and don't know if I will get another sonogram then or not.
Re: Sonogram question
It is not unusual to be a couple of weeks different. I would however be upset I was rushed through an appt and for her to make a comment about the hb that wouldn't sit well with me... i don't know maybe I am being silly but having been through a m/c I guess I am just a little sensitive. We do pay a lot for these sonograms insurance or not don't you dare rush me! lol
Call your OB before youre next appt and seek some reassurance. They are certain to receive confirmation of the size of baby!
