I lost 4 pounds during a couple weeks of morning sickness and it took me awhile to gain it back. I was up 1 pound at 15 weeks and am now up 3 pounds at 18 weeks. Everyone is different. My friend gained something like 12 pounds during her first tri and now it's tapered off (she's 16 weeks). Her doctor says she's right on track!
I started gaining weight almost immediately with DS. All in all, I gained 70+ pounds.
This time, I only gained two pounds in the second tri, and it looks to be like it's steady. I haven't gained any more than 2 1/2 pounds so far. (Which is good, because I wasn't exactly stick thin before this) But I'm with you, I feel huge too! Did you start showing earlier this time around? That could contribute to your feeling like you've gained more weight.
W/ DD, I gained 10 lbs in what seemed to be a matter of weeks after finding out we were pregnant. I chalked it up to being on WW and basking in not having to count points anymore. I am still kicking myself for that stupidity. I will say that I think my fibroids growing up to 32cm total in the first tri probably also contributed to that though. I gained about 35-40lbs total w/ her.
This time, I've been a little better (I have bad days). Part of it has been me consciously trying not to go crazy too much, and the other is that I crave protein instead of carbs this time (except pizza, lol). So far, I've gained about 7-8lbs. That's not great, but it's WAAAAY better than last time! I'm trying to exercise, but I am really not doing a good job of fitting it in (and it's not like I don't have time...I'm a SAHM and DD usually sleeps until 8:30-9am)! I at least think that housework gives me more exercise than my old desk job did, though, b/c while I am definitely overweight, my arms are way more toned than they used to be. Probably from carrying around a toddler, lol.

I have gained 4 pounds from my PP weight but I had lost 12 pounds by the second time I went to the hospital for. Getting sick. So I have gained 16 but I'm guessing a lot of that was water and my doc wanted me to put on 5 pounds from my PP weight because I'm so small.
I gained 5 lbs in spite of morning sickness. Now at my 24 week check up I am up 12lbs total. This is identical to the pound of my last pregnancy at 24 weeks. Last time I gained 25 lbs. exactly. Some people seem to gain early and level off where as others gain very little early on and level off.
Lol, this poll made me laugh. This pregnancy I've gain about 3 lbs....with DS? Um, pretty sure I gained 20 in the first tri. And no...I'm not kidding. It was terrible and never ended. Oy.

I gained 3 or 4 lbs in 1st trimester (which I swear was all due to my breasts doubling in cup size) and have gained about a pound a week in 2nd Tri, which is what I keep reading is a healthy gain.
I'm surprised that these 10 pounds don't make me feel fat but I know it is healthy and necessary and I swear, my skinny jeans actually look better on me now (if you overlook the fact that they don't button)!
I gained a whopping 12 pounds and was told by my doctor I needed to slow down! Don't know where I'm at now, but she scared me with the one lb per week I'd be gaining in the third tri.
