Hi everyone!
I was on the TTGP boards in the past. I got married last year, diagnosed with PCOS not long after. I had the whole work up and did 2 rounds of Clomid without success. Last spring, my husband got a new job and we moved from Pittsburgh, PA to the Washington, DC area. We decided to wait before going back onto fertility treatments.
This morning I was reading "Infertility for Dummies" I have charted my periods and CM but I thought maybe it was time to order a BBT thermometer. I had already told DH I was planning to test on Friday but I thought I'd stick a quick test, just so I'd feel better about ordering. I didn't even use FMU! I used a cheapie stick, dipped it, and almost immediately saw a faint line! Shocked, I used another and got the same result. I got out a First Response test and dipped it, my hands shaking like crazy. I've never see such a dark line on a HPT. I immediately started bawling (I'm normally an easy crier, so this pregnancy will turn me into an endless waterfall of tears). I forced myself to calm down, already worrying I'd stress myself into a m/c.
My husband was beyond thrilled when I told him! Right after he got off work, we picked up "What To Expect When You're Expecting"
It's still too early to tell people, I might tell immediate family after my first appt. I've never been pregnant before and I'm very excited and very nervous!
Also, my due date is my grandma's birthday, whom I love dearly. I can't wait to tell her, as this will be her first great-grandchild!
Much love to you all, good luck with your own, and thank you for listening to me ramble on!
