Daycare Option 1: A friend of the family, home care. Max 6 children. Half hour drive away. A little rundown. The provider is 7 months pregnant with first child and has someone taking over for her awhile once she has the baby. But I feel comfortable that baby will be safe and treated well. $100 weekly. Concerned that being pregnant wont allow her to keep up with all children. Introduction to new person and newborn in 2 months. C won't get home until 6pm daily
Daycare Option 2: A neighbor who I don't know, home care. Max 6 children. 1 minute walk away. Shiny and new. Provider seems very knowledgable and caring and gives me a good feeling. $125 weekly. Stranger danger concern because she has a husband and son in the home and I'm weary with men and children. C would get home at 4pm daily.
They both have pros and cons. What would you do? Why?
Re: I can't decide on daycare
Her husband works during the day but may be home occasionally. Son is 13 and in school. Daughter is 19 commutes to college. My husband actually brought up the concern about the males. He has me leaning toward Option 1 now, which is a friend of his family (whom I don't know) and near his work. Thats why C won't get home until 6pm. I won't pick her up or drop her off.
I really like Option 2 but I guess my husbands dislikes are more serious than my likes about the place.
