What symptoms are you surprised by?

For me,it's the itchy eyes.  I have since learned that its not uncommon to have dry eyes, but HOLY SMOKES!  My eyes itch like CRAZY almost every single night.  I have stopped wearing eye make-up altogether, and have to avoid being near a fan, and those things seem to help.  But even still, I feel like I the only thing that would truly satisfy the itch is taking my eyeballs out and scrubbing them with a pumice stone!  I had no idea this would happen to me, lol.

 How about you, what symptoms are you experiencing that you didn't realize were a part of pregnancy?

The sneezing...the first trimester it seemed like I sneezed ALL the time!  It's let up a little, but I had no idea that was a pregnancy symptom.

This for me too, except it hasn't let up. I am sneezing and blowing my nose constantly.

Oh yeah, I have been sneezing a lot lately, too.  But I always have allergies, so I didn't really associate that with the pregnancy.  But now that you mention is, it is a bit early in the season for this much sneezing.  How funny.

Gagging while brushing my teeth....and it is still happening! Ugh I hope I don't get a cavity.

I think I sneeze at least 100 times a day now.

People at work just gave up on saying bless u anymore.

Randomly and very sensitive teeth and gums. Very annoying when it comes to brushing my teeth. I know there are a couple more but I can't think of them at the moment (surprise surprise).

I got one canker sore at like, 12 weeks. I haven't had one since (thank God), and had never had one before, but I was shocked! I was all "But...I keep my mouth really clean..." but it doesn't matter. It's like so many other things--not much to prevent it. It was awful. I had it right on the inside of my upper lip and it made eating anything that needed biting into difficult.

This made me laugh.  Since I've been pregnant, I've started listening to country music, so I say it's a symptom.  

I didn't expect the gas.  Mine is horrible and often painful.

Omg I totally thought I was the only one having this problem!!! But for me it has also been the sneezing and sensitive gums!!!

Sciatica. Damn, I hope it goes away! Some days I feel like my grandpa with all the limping I do.

Me three. Headed to an allergist Monday since now I have sinus pressure as well.

So that explains it! I had no idea this was a pregnancy symptom.

Ever since i got pregnant i've been craving for summer to be over and i want  it to be so cold, dark and rainy! I usualy HATE the rain and cold winter days, but being preggo, i so want that so badly. I also want to move to a very tiny town, like in Christmas movies or something LOL.... I dont know whats wrong with me! hahha

I had no idea the sneezing was pregnancy-related!  The headaches and low pressure urinating are the ones that took me aback.  I thought I would have to go to the bathroom often, but I never imagined that I would be so dissatisfied with my bathroom trips!

I forgot to add in my last post... I have rosacea ( its a skin condition on the face) and it has really been bothering me, and i usualy dont have it during the summer, just the winter...  but sometimes, my skin burns like crazy . Maybe ill try and up my water intake even more, that usualy helps 90%.

Definitely Sneezing for me too.  I sneeze like crazy when I wake up and it tapers off a bit during the day but still there.

I also gag when brushing my teeth... and once I do it I cant' stop, it's like my body thinks it just has to get something out of my stomach even though it's empty.

I'm the same exact way when I brush my teeth and gag, I can't stop and it drives me crazy!

Also, I knew I would be constipated, but I really miss my regular potty schedule for comforts sake

I'm suprised how little I can eat this early in the pregnancy. Baby is totally taking over and I can eat about half as much as I used to be able to. It's super frustrating!

this for me too.  i have never had trouble eating, so for me to lose weight during the first trimester was bizarre.  it's getting better now and baby seems to be growing just fine, but the nausea/being repused by some foods was now what i expected to happen to me.
