I can't believe it...says my son.

We are having another girl!!! I am shocked and stunned. This pregnancy has been so similar to my son's that I was certain it was a boy. Until this morning when my stomach just wouldnt settle and such enough at the u/s this morning..."There are no boy parts down there, definitely a girl." Ahhh..girls names are so hard!!! 

She is measuring a few days ahead and is perfectly healthy. My placenta is in the front so that is new for me...anyone else have theirs located in the front? I guess, added protection, right?

And I agree with this!

I don't have an anterior placenta (in the front), but my sister did with both pregnancies. Nothing wrong with it at all, but did mean she didn't feel as much movement.

Ahhh!! I'm so jealous that everyone is finding out already!  I can't wait till my apt next week.  Congrats on the baby girl!  We are hoping for a girl, we already have a name.  We actually settled on a boy's name, too, but that was the more difficult one for us.  Our girl name is Maggie, btw.    Just an idea.

Congrats on your little girl!! I have an anterior placenta too. It just means you may have "placenta face" going on in 3d u/s and it'll be a little longer to feel movement.

I'm so convinced I'm having a boy and my scan is tomorrow - I think I'll faint if it's a girl (out of excitement??) haha!

Congrats on the baby girl!  I also have an anterior placenta this time around. I'm not feeling much yet, whereas I was feeling DD regularly by this time.  My midwife said I would still feel movement but it would be more to the sides and down low.

Congrats! We're having a little girl too, my placenta is also in the front but I'm ok with that cause at least it's not blocking the cervix. And I can still feel movements, probably not as much as I would if it wasn't there. Again congrats though

Thanks! THe NP said just that about the movement. Thank goodness not on the cervix. Crazy feeling that it is a girl....at least DH and I are both like...got to try for #4 for a baby brother. This will back fire and will be a girl.
