nbr: how to block # on texts

i know this is a random but, is there any way to send a text, but block the number so the recipient doesn't know who it is?

and - how do you block your number when calling from a cell phone or house phone?

Re: nbr: how to block # on texts

  • Depends on your carrier.  When I was on T-Mobile, there was a "show/hide number" option. I'm on Sprint now and haven't seen it.

  • There are maybe four ways I would respond to an unidentified text.  1) Respond with STOP bc I am not interested.  2)  Ignore and Delete  3) Report to my carrier if I was offended/annoyed enough or 4) Report to the police if I felt threatened and/or offended enough.

In conclusion though I am racking my brain I cannot come up with a good reason to send an unidentified text.
