I started doing my pelvic rocks today (probably should have been doing them all along, but I figure I still have plenty of time
) and I just thought I'd share about them for people who don't know. A lot of providers say that pelvic rocks are pretty much the best thing you can do to help prepare for birth for many reasons and they're really easy to do. I highly recommend making them a routine from here on out to help your body prepare to push out baby (as well as the other benefits you get from them)!
Here's a link to some info on pelvic rocking for those who are interested: Pelvic Rocking
Re: PSA: Pelvic Rocking
You know... I know nothing about yoga, but I have seen those terms mentioned before in conjunction with pelvic rocks. I'm not really sure how those work, but with pelvic rocks you're supposed to keep your back straight and use your lower ab muscles to rock just your pelvis, if that makes sense. If that's what you do for cow/cat then yes, it's like that

The prenatal pilates video I have does this. It didn't call it pelvic rocking or cat/cow but it did feel like cat/cow to me.
Admittedly I'm not a yoga instructor, but from my experience cat/cow definitely involves arching your back so in that sense, pelvic rocking is not like cat/cow. because the back stays straight.
OP, thanks for sharing!

I've also heard that doing these is good at helping get baby head down later in pregnancy. I haven't tried them yet but I'll have to start practicing.
I do it when MH isn't home
