If you have chosen your childbirth education class:

What type? (Bradley, Hospital, Doula, Midwife, OB practice)

When?  

I haven't chosen a childbirth class yet.  I'm thinking of doing a Bradley refresher course.  Or I might do a yoga childbirth class. I have to see which works for our budget.

This time around I am not planning on taking childbirth education classes. Since I am grand multipara (five or more term births), I feel I know enough to get me through pregnancy, labor, birth, and weeks postpartum.

Almost four years ago I was training to be a certified childbirth instructor. I didn't complete the requirements because I felt I would be too busy with my family to teach classes. During my training I observed two childbirth class series (six classes each series). I had a friend who is a Bradley instructor. I observed one of her classes. I scored a high score on the test I took at the end of the training workshop classes.

I am taking one. I didn't last time and I felt slightly unprepared even though I watched lots of videos and read about stuff online. We are taking the full course through the hospital and they cover almost all of the methods so we can get a taste of everything.

We're either going to do the hospital or OB practice one. I kind of wanted to do the hospital one so we know their procedures and feel comfortable with the place but the OB practice only delivers at that hospital so it will probably be the same info.

I still haven't gotten in to see the hospitals patient rep so have no idea what my options are
