2 week check up

One of these days I'm gonna get to a computer and update my siggy. Until then I'll be unrealistically pregnant.

Point of this post though is that for the first week we had perfect babies. Then it was like someone flipped a switch. At least one of them always has to be held and is always screaming. At their check up today we told the doctor about it and their gas and constipation. She asked if they stretch a lot. Yeah! That's a sign of reflux. Its like the bend over backwards full body stretch. We had no idea! So they are getting new formula and zantac. Moral of the story: if your baby's behavior changes overnight take note and call the doctor. I hate to think they have been hurting for days! Hopefully this works and we get our calm, good babies back!

  • So sorry to hear about that! My sister's twins had the same problem, but they'd throw up a lot. I don't understand zantac, though. The adult kind is citrus flavored, and the baby kind is peppermint flavored. The babies hated it.

  • Mine didn't act like it was all that bad. I just hope it kicks in soon because neither of them will lay down, even propped up, for more the 5 minutes.

  • DS had acid reflux. Just keep up with the medicine on schedule. If we skipped a dose by mistake you could tell. He was on zantak too. It worked wonders. Good luck. At least there's a solution!

  • Hope they feel better soon. :(

My little one does the stretch where she seems she is bending over backwards but that is when she first wakes up so I figured she was just stretching. She isn't a fussy baby... but now you have me wondering. :/

    Good luck!

They stretch constantly. Everytime you try to burp them they stretch to the point you can't get them on your shoulder. Tonight has been rough. I am praying the medicine kicks in soon. They are burping much better already with the new formula. FX!
