This is a nightmare. tmiish

Woke up last night thinking I had to poop. Realized I was having really painful contractions, much worse than any BH I've had. They were consistently 10 min apart. I was vomiting, shaking like crazy, and my back was killing me. Eventually the contractions slowed, and went away. The rest of the night I randomly woke up with BH.

Today I woke up still very nauseous, and crampy. I had my 40 week app today. its my due date.. yay? Told them about it, and they said it sounds like my body is getting ready. Didn't want to check me, didn't want to talk about induction yet, nothing. So I'm hoping he comes this week.

Anyway, I'm still feeling very nauseous, and even drinking water is making me feel sick. I had a few BM today, but still kind of feel like I need to go sometimes. Anyone else go through this before labor started?

  • When I was in active labor I was nauseous and I vomited multiple times, every time I was sick the nurse would have just checked me and would say "only a little to go" or something like that and then she would check me shortly after being sick and let me know that getting sick helped...like the last time I was sick there was a small amount of my cervix left and vomiting helped it progress further.

I don't know if that helps at all, but that was my experience with nausea and my labor.

  • When I was in active labor, I vomited. I didn't feel nauseous for a long period of time, just all of a sudden had to be sick. It was right after the initial start of the Pitocin.
