Every time I go up the stairs in our house, I am out of breath! I can regain it very quickly, but makes me feel even more out of shape than I did before!
The OB told me this is normal, is anyone else with me?
Haha this is totally me! Everytime I get to the top, I stop and take a deep breath. Can't believe that's all it takes, I'm pretty sure it's just going to get worse the farther along we get!
oh goodness, this is me. DH and I took our dog for walk the other day. we walked up and down the road and i was ready to come back because i felt so out of breath. haha i felt like such a baby.
Yes, Lately it is def. harder taking the stairs... I thought it was just me lol....I take the stairs at work too, so its not like I'm not used to taking the stairs.
Same here! I get winded going up the three flights of stairs in our house. I feel like such a pig when I get to the last couple to get to the loft. I get way more winded than when I'm on the elliptical.
Oh yeah. I feel exhausted just from the steps in our house. We are going camping/hiking for Labor day and I'm worried I won't be able to get up the hills.
“On the Road that I have taken, one day walking I awaken, amazed to see where I've come, where I'm going, where I'm from.” ― Dean Koontz, The Book Of Counted Sorrows
I am 33 weeks and omg, these stairs are not my friend! Funny how I use to workout twice a day and could go up and down w/o problems, go hiking, now, I cant make it up the stupid stairs w/o being out of breath. I told hubby I want one of those chairs that can take you up and down without having to walk lol
Yeah, walking up the stairs is starting to be pretty awful, especially at work. I used to be able to breeze up them, now I feel all out of breath and exhausted before I'm even halfway up. I'll probably be taking breaks on the landings in the next few months.
Me too... and we don't have a bathroom on our main floor, I have to go upstairs to go! It's already getting to be an issue, I'm concerned about when I get further along and then after I deliver.
This has been happening to me lately too. Doing laundry involves going down 2 flights of stairs to our basement and it sucks. Cleaning in general sucks right now because I tend to go up and down a lot of stairs while cleaning ad have to force myself to slow down.

I don't get out of breath (yet) but when I get to the top my legs are heavy and ache for a minute. I know it only gets worse in third tri, I remember it being a chore with DS.

Yes! Our bedroom is converted attic space so it is two flights to take the laundry down to the basement. Last weekend, I took a load of clothes down the two flights of stairs and then climbed back up the two flights to continue putting clothes away. Didn't happen. I was totally winded and started yawning which led straight into a nap. I felt soooo lazy!
We just moved from a one story to a two story (moving at 29/30 weeks...bad idea!) and our room is upstairs. They. Kick. My. Arss. I feel so pathetic hahaha but you are not alone, the stairs have been a kicker this week haha.

Yep, me too. My problem is that I get to carry my 26 lb 10 month old up the stairs to his room 2-3 times a day and it kicks my butt every time!
I make DH do it at nighttime because it's exhausting.
