Baby Names

"B" Boy name - help!

I'm 2 weeks away from our second baby boy. Our last name starts with a B so we really want to go with a B name with this one. Which one do you like best?

Benjamin Charles

Brody Charles

Boden Charles

Bowe Charles (pronounced "bo" but hubby likes this spelling)

THANK YOU!

your list is the order of my preference with Bowe last.

  • I should add - the one thing holding us back from benjamin is he would likely go by ben and our last name is britt. does "ben britt" sound too much like "ben bridge" (the jeweler?)
  • No clue who Ben Bridge is but Benjamin would remind me of the actor Benjamin Bratt.  But I still think it's your best name choice. The others are meh.

  • What about Blake Charles Britt? It would be hard to shorten Blake and it sounds good with your last name, IMO. I thought Bowe was pronounced like David Bowie when I first read your list. I also like it spelled Beau. GL

I live in Washington and it might remind me of Ben Bridge just a teensy bit but not enough to say no to the name. I say go for it!

  • Definitely Benjamin. Boden and Bowe are no good at all. I thought Bowe was Bowie at first glance.

  • I like Benjamin the best.  I guess Boden would be my second choice.

Have you considered Bennet or Brock?

  • I think Brody and Benjamin is alright. Like a few others have suggested, how about Bennett? Less common/used than Benjamin, but it's still a really strong name in my opinion.

  • I think Benjamin Charles is your strongest contender. I kind of like Beau Charles as well, but I think your husband's spelling is ridiculous.
