Hello ladies,
If you've read any of my past posts you know that i've been having a lot of gallbladder issues. I went and saw a surgeon last week and he told me in the end the choice was up to me. I had finally leaned torwards toughing it out on Lucas arrived. But then i recieved a call from my actual doctor saying i need to get it done because it could get infected and could end up hurting him ![]()
I'm so terribly nervous and i want it to go smoothly. I know getting your gallbladder removed is a very small surgery but being pregnant complicates it a bit.
I can't bear to stand the fact that i am putting my unborn child under. It literally breaks my heart and i'm so scared that it's going to end up hurting him.
But i guess i can't keep taking these strong painkillers....Can't be much better.
Anyway, i'm just looking for T&P and any success stories you have to calm my nerves...
TIA

Gall bladder problems are no fun! I had mine out last year.. bleh. You heal pretty darn fast though! Thoughts and prayers for you and the baby both!!
I know my aunt had her gall bladder out when she was pregnant with my cousin. This was about 20 years ago too, and things went just fine!! The surgery is MUCH better these days too ;D
The doctors know what they are doing and there are ways to use the least amount of drugs and anesthesia possible during surgery. Good luck and I promise you will feel 100x better when you heal. Everything will be fine!
